Sustainability is no longer a fringe interest in the realm of residential design. Maximising energy efficiency is at the forefront of the minds of house designers and councils across the country. In fact, the Federal government has mandated that all new homes must meet a six-star thermal efficiency rating under the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS).
